After a rather indifferent first twelve months at the club, Emerson Palmieri may have found his turning point at Chelsea this season. Under head coach Maurizio Sarri, the 24-year-old is finally finding regular starts, including in the Premier League, and certainly pushing, if not already eclipsing Marcos Alonso in the left back pecking order
But even though Emerson seems to be back on path to becoming an important player for our cause, other clubs still hope they can take advantage of his situation. One of those clubs is Inter Milan, who had been interested in Emerson in the past and are set to ‘rekindle’ said interest, as per La Gazzetta dello Sport (via Inside Futbol).

Inter, who may or may not be the next team to employ Antonio Conte, are also looking at reinforcing their defence, and they see the former AS Roma player as an ideal target for that. The interest is said to be mutual, as Emerson wants to return to Italy to get regular playing time once again. But now that he’s shown that he can probably also get those minutes at Stamford Bridge, perhaps he can stay for a bit longer.
