Real Madrid ‘does not matter’: Kanté remains fully committed to Chelsea

Silly exit rumors denied

Zinedine Zidane’s return to Real Madrid has generated more than it’s fair share of transfer rumors already, not least of which have been the reams of print about Eden Hazard. But it’s another Chelsea player whose presence in these stories is actually the more concerning one. We may be able to cope without Hazard; we may not be able to do so without Kante.

Fortunately, the Kante situation is not nearly as fluid as Hazard’s. Kante signed a new long-term contract with Chelsea earlier this season, making him the club’s highest paid player, and he’s never made any noise about wanting to leave.

In fact, he says he’s got unfinished business with the Blues.

“Today I am at Chelsea and I still have aims here, what is said elsewhere is not important. Even if Zidane calls me, it does not matter. I am at Chelsea and I am focused at the club.”

Heavenly music to our ears. As if we needed any more reason to love N’Golo Kanté!
