Cesc Fàbregas believes Eden Hazard’s decision made is to stay at Chelsea

No Hazexit in Cesc’s world!

Cesc Fàbregas may no longer be a Chelsea player, but he may have made one of his biggest Chelsea assists ever yesterday.

Speaking on Spanish radio, Cesc flipped the narrative on its head, claiming that if Hazard has indeed made a decision already regarding his future, it’s much more likely to be that the decision is to stay rather than leave.

“If Hazard has said he already has the decision made, then it is that he has decided to renew with Chelsea.”

No Hazexit in Cesc’s world!

Whether Fàbregas has any inside knowledge regarding Hazard’s thought processes remains to be seen, but it should be noted the two of them were still teammates two months ago when Hazard actually gave the interview to RMC, saying that he has already made his decision, which kickstarted this whole latest round of exit rumors.

“He’s a loyal player. He told me he would never fight with Chelsea to leave. This is his club, he has won so much in England. This is just what I think, but I know him well. If he has made a decision, it would never be to let the club down in the middle of the season, he would not do that.”

Fàbregas has always urged Hazard to take more responsibility, to be more selfish, and step up to the next level. He’s always seen Hazard for who he is; perhaps he sees more clearly in this situation than all the rest of us, too.

“He must make a decision as he is at the end of his contract, first because of money but also because, at 28 years old, it is the right and last time for him to go.”

Hope dies last, after all.
