N’Golo Kante’s brief respite from incessant PSG rumors is over

In the summer of 2016, Premier League champion N’Golo Kante chose Chelsea over guaranteed Champions League football, and the rest, as they say, is history. He rejected the advances of Manchester United and PSG to join the Blues, who were hoping to build a blazing inferno but had little actual warmth to offer except the one generated by Antonio Conte’s sideline antics. Kante made a massive difference, to say the least, and has thus added a few more trophies to his collection, becoming the humble hero we all need and love (we probably don’t deserve him, let’s be honest).

Unsurprisingly, interest from the continent hasn’t really gone away. Brief links with Real Madrid have popped up on occasion, and Kante has rejected PSG’s advances multiple times already. And yet, even though Kante almost literally just signed a new five-year contract in late November, PSG are not giving up.

Fortunately, the rumors are coming only from notorious rumour-mongers Le10 Sport, and are seemingly based on only Kante’s supposed displeasure with his “new” role under Sarri, which as we know isn’t anything really new for the player himself, who’s also spoken repeatedly about liking it just the same. The relationship is “not exceptional” crows the tabloid as if Kante could be mad at anyone not named Danny Rose.
