The Eagle has landed!
No, wait.
The Bat has landed! Among the Eagles.
Michy Batshuayi has joined Crystal Palace on loan for the rest of the season. It took a while for all the paperwork to get completed, but the deal sheet made the 11pm deadline on Thursday, so the move could go ahead.

As far as we know at the moment, there is no buy-option, so we get to look forward to a fourth consecutive transfer window of contemplating Batshuayi’s future in six months. But for now, we know what he’ll be up to, and that’s to help keep Palace in the Premier League, in part by forging an exciting partnership with Wilfried Zaha.
Maybe “Agent Michy” can put in a good work with Zaha just like he claims he did with Christian Pulisic at Borussia Dortmund last year?
Either way, we can can only hope that Batshuayi’s spell in Valencia was just a blip on the radar in what has otherwise been a fairly productive goalscoring habit, even when he was just a backup at Chelsea for 18 months.
G’wan, Michy!
