Before his move to Chelsea in the summer of 2015, Pedro was one of Barcelona’s most celebrated players and their lucky charm when it came to winning big games and big trophies. In the peak years of his decade-long career at the club, Pedro combined natural talent with the willingness to sacrifice himself week in and out for the team.
So there is no surprise that he still feels a special connection with Barcelona. And now that he’s well past his peak and his days at Chelsea are reaching their end, he certainly woldn’t mind going back to the club where he made his name in football. And even though he has yet to be linked to Barcelona — that “honour” has last been held by his teammate and fellow winger, Willian — he still feels that a return to the club could be possible.
“Everyone knows what I feel for the club, and it is obvious that coming back [to Barcelona] is a possibility. I have always said that.
“Barça is a club that I have special affection, because it belongs to me. I lived a lot of experiences there, I was there for many year and I feel loved by everyone. I wish I could go back there.”
“I do not know if going back is in the hands of the coach, the chairman or whoever else. My return is difficult, but it is clear that it is a possibility.”

Perhaps he will get his wish, as Barcelona have not been opposed to adding veterans to their squad. But to do that, he will probably have to do better than just trading on nostalgia.
