Manchester United ‘believe’ they’re in pole position for Chelsea-linked Jadon Sancho — report

Hmmm

Red hot Jadon Sancho scored another goal this midweek, so here’s another red hot Jadon Sancho rumor. (That’s six goals in the last five games, if you’re counting, for the young winger supposedly all sorts of unhappy and on his way out at Borussia Dortmund.)

In any case, Sancho looks quite unlikely to be leaving in January, though things can change quickly in football. And he’s still odds-on to leave in the summer, and return to England. Most of the top Premier League clubs are jockeying for position already either way.

Chelsea are rumored to be in that pack, but our exact position is unclear at the moment. The Twitter-verse may have signed the 19-year-old Londoner several times for us already, but many rumors continue to point away from the Blues, especially as our supposed interest in Wilfried Zaha keeps making the rounds as well.

The latest from the Mirror’s John Cross (I know, I know — take it for you deem it worth) is that Manchester United “believe” they’re in “pole position” to seal this deal. That doesn’t quite jive with my horse racing metaphor, but whatever.

We may think Sancho-to-Chelsea sounds about right, but that may not be what happens in the end.
