Chelsea have apparently made an offer for young Cagliari midfielder Nicolò Barella, but the player remains unsure of making the move to Stamford Bridge.
But according to Italian journalist Pietro Balzano, while Barella has his doubts, Cagliari president Tommaso Giulini is pushing for the player to accept the move.
Calciomercato#Barella: si parla di offerta decisamente importante del #Chelsea.

Il giocatore non sarebbe convinto, ma il presidente spingerebbe per accettare la destinazione Londra.
Barella’s doubts are well-founded, as not only would he be replacing a player who was just a backup in Cesc Fabregas, but he’d be moving to a foreign country and league at just 21. That’s a big risk to take, especially without guaranteed playing time (looking at you, Callum Hudson-Odoi).
Meanwhile, Cagliari’s president pushing for this move also makes sense, as he’s probably looking to generate a bidding war between Chelsea and Napoli, who also are reportedly interested.
However, none of these things will end up mattering if the player doesn’t agree to the move.
