More public candor in the transfer market as Sevilla director of football Joaquín Caparrós has admitted interest in Chelsea striker Álvaro Morata, but has tempered any expectations anyone may have regarding anything actually happening along that vein.
“We are interested in Morata but it is a very, very complicated operation. The player may want to come here over other options but the negotiations with Chelsea will be very complicated.”

The director’s quotes follow rumors of Morata and/or Morata’s agent flying down to Seville earlier this week for negotiations about a potential move (possibly involving some sort of loan arrangement), as well the striker’s unexpected absence from Tuesday’s League Cup semifinal first leg against spurs ... not to mention the resurgence of the Higuaín rumors. While Morata is supposedly dealing with at least one injury (hamstring) and maybe another one (knee), the timing is all a little too ... auspicious.
But what really did the damage was suffering minor hamstring injury in training with #cfc this morning. https://t.co/E72SKvt8Xf
