With just a few hours left in the transfer window, Michy Batshuayi’s future is still not settled.
In a case of “you don’t have to go home, but you can’t stay here”, Valencia don’t want him but neither do Chelsea. There has been some loan interest, but not from Everton, who might appeal to him. Earlier reports talk of loan deals agreed “in principle” with teams as varied as West Ham United and Real Betis, but so far, Michy has not chosen either as far as we can tell.
So what are Michy and his representatives up to? Apparently they are trying to engineer a move to Tottenham Hotspur!
Batshuayi's reps are trying to take him to Tottenham, but so far Chelsea won't negotiate on that move unless it is a permanent deal which would cost Spurs £35-£40m #cfc #thfc

Spurs, who were interested in Batshuayi but were outbid by Chelsea 2.5 years ago, would be unlikely business partners, to say the least, for Chelsea, but apparently we would actually consider a sale if they met our asking price. Unsurprisingly, Daniel Levy isn’t about to do that, though they’d be happy to take him on loan to bolster a strike force that’s set to be without Harry Kane for at least another month or two.
Tottenham have only shown interest in a loan so far so a deal at this stage looks unlikely.
