Michy Batshuayi is having a rather difficult time finding a new team to play for in the second half of the season.
Valencia, where he spent the first half of the season, don’t want him. Sarri doesn’t want him at Chelsea. Everton don’t want to bid the £35m it would take to buy him and they cannot loan him since they already have Kurt Zouma from Chelsea and Premier League rules don’t allow more than one loanee between Premier League teams.
But with half a day still to go in the transfer window, Batshuayi may yet find a solution. According to multiple reports, not one but two teams have agreed a loan in principle. West Ham United and Real Betis are both ready to welcome the Batsman, now he just has to choose. Does he stay in Spain or does he try his luck back in the Premier League, a little closer to Chelsea to maybe catch Sarri’s (or whoever’s) eye?
Decision, decisions, tick tock.
Confirmation that Real Betis and West Ham United have an agreement in principle with Chelsea over a loan deal for Michy Batshuayi, as reported by @ed_aarons. Up to the player now: Spain or East-London. #whufc #cfc pic.twitter.com/SxmANsPYuj
