Everton appeared as main candidates for Michy’s acquisition, as they cannot sign another Chelsea player on loan since they already have Kurt Zouma in their squad in this setup. But even that is now open to question. According to ESPN’s Chelsea correspondent Liam Twomey, Everton are not expecting to make any signings today.

The Toffees are not alone in the chase, as West Ham have approached Chelsea with a loan offer for Michy. However, Batshuayi’s preference at the moment is to move to Everton on a permanent transfer.
In the meantime, Michy idly waits in Spain to find where he will go next from his sour experience with Valencia. We might as well be just as anxious as he is to see this sorted out.
