Valencia do not want Michy Batshuayi anymore and Batshuayi doesn’t want Valencia either, yet he continues to train with the club as his future remains clouded in mystery with less than a week to go in the January transfer window.
Michy had looked almost certain to join former Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fàbregas at French club AS Monaco for the rest of the season, but that’s been called off apparently (as per ESPN), with Monaco now switching targets to Atlético Madrid’s Gelson Martins — a wage-saving move that’s also related to Álvaro Morata’s loan switch to Atlético.
Monaco had wanted to bring in Michy on loan, but Chelsea are hoping to engineer a permanent move at this point. So the 25-year-old’s next destination might be Premier League outfit Everton, who made a €30 million bid for him one week ago.

Either way, most signs point towards this being the end of Michy’s tenure at Chelsea. Unfortunately so, as he, certainly at times, looked to have the right tools and the right potential to be a successful striker at the Bridge for a long time...
