Gonzalo Higuaín got green light last night, finally, to proceed with his Chelsea initiative and join the Blues on a loan deal. The former Napoli striker left Milan this morning, bound for London.

Once in London, he proceeded to go through the medical process (surely a formality) at Chelsea.
While there’s been no official confirmation (there never is), some reports claim that he’s already completed the process in near-record time.
Gonzalo Higuain is in London. Let’s start with medicals and then the deal will be official #Chelsea #CFC

The medical has been completed I've been told. Can they do the contract stuff in time? #CFC #Higuain

Now the big question is will he be eligible for tomorrow’s match against Spurs. That will depend wholly on when the paperwork was submitted to the league office. The registration deadline to be eligible for the match was midday Wednesday. While he won’t be announced until later today, at the earliest, that doesn’t necessarily have any bearing on when all the administrative steps were completed.
Unfortunately, as per Matt Law’s sources, it doesn’t sounds like we met the deadline. Nonetheless, his arrival will hopefully provide the spark that Chelsea and Maurizio Sarri need in attack. (Sarri will have a press conference in a few minutes, so perhaps he will provide confirmation one way or another.)
Yet to be confirmed but I hear Chelsea have not made the midday deadline for Higuain to be registered in time to play against Tottenham. Focus will now be on getting him used to his team-mates in prep for the rest of the season. Sure Sarri will be asked at 1pm. #cfc
