Everton have decided to take their pursuit of Michy Batshuayi pursuit to the next level, if Gazzetta dello Sport journalist Nicolò Schira is to be believed. After reports of a bid around £14-18m (around €20m), the Toffees’ latest approach is said to be around €30 million instead.

However, the €30m is still some way short of Chelsea’s reported demands. According to Goal, the Blues want “around €45 million” to let go of Michy this winter.
It probably won’t be easy for Chelsea at this point in time to get such a sum for Michy, who’s scored only three goals so far this season. Perhaps a good half-season stint at Monaco can convince clubs otherwise?
After his failed loan to Valencia in the first half of the season, Batshuayi has been widely expected to join Monaco. But as long as Everton remain interested, and are willing to offer cash up front, Chelsea just might be more willing to opt for that solution — as long as they meet the Blues’ demands of course. And so, Michy’s future remains in limbo.
