Chelsea once, well twice!, issued a public warning to Atlético Madrid regarding their constant courting of Diego Costa — and while that did not stop Atleti from eventually re-signing their former player (after certain developments at Chelsea gave it some motivation as well), Chelsea might have to resort to similar steps with regards to Bayern Munich and Callum Hudson-Odoi.
Bayern’s sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic continues to conduct his very public wooing of the 18-year-old — we can only imagine the additional pressures they’re putting on in private — confirming his club’s intentions to Sport Bild once again.
"We want to sign [Callum Hudson-Odoi]. I have no doubts about his abilities, we are in constant contact with #Chelsea," #Bayern sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic told Sport Bild.

Last week, Sarri called this sort of public behavior “not professional” and lacking respect for the club, while Hudson-Odoi himself appeared to dismiss the rumors with a cryptic message on Instagram that was subsequently deleted.
Callum Hudson-Odoi posted this to his Instagram story, before swiftly deleting it!

All that said, and despite Bayern’s best efforts, Hudson-Odoi remains a Chelsea player — certainly for now and the immediate future — and we appear willing to risk potential financial drawbacks (lower transfer fee) by having him stay (and play) until at least the summer. Chelsea’s hope is that the next six months will convince the kid that the grass is just as green on this side of the proverbial fence as on the other side.
