Charly Musonda’s future still hangs in the balance as clubs, mostly in continental Europe, watch closely.
Good news for them, then, as Charly is still set to go out on loan to “a European club” despite finding himself at Chelsea after the Premier League’s transfer window had shut.
Charly Musonda is not leaving Chelsea today, on loan or permanently. He will join a European club in the coming weeks. #CFC #DeadlineDay

His youth club Anderlecht were reportedly interested in his services earlier, but the Belgian league’s level might be too low for Musonda at this point. The Milan clubs were also in the mix, although their interest in Musonda was in terms of permanent move rather than a temporary one. Charly would likely be in line for limited playing time at either club as well, considering their respective strengths.
So, a mid-table team in a top European league should be his ideal destination. Most such clubs will have until August 31 to table their offers for the youngster who wants to prove himself a star.
