Chelsea have four center forwards in the squad at the moment, all vying for minutes at just one position. That’s probably not a viable arrangement long-term, so presumably one of the four will leave before the month’s out. Morata and Giroud have both maintained that they want to stay, while young Tammy Abraham is hoping to do the same. We’ve heard less from Michy Batshuayi, which unfortunately does seem to make him the front-runner as far as an exit is concerned.
Batshuayi has been linked with a few teams across Europe, but the strongest rumors have concerned a potential loan to Valencia in La Liga. In fact, rumors earlier in the day suggested that The Bats are hopeful of signing Bats and a loan deal could be imminent. But that may not be the case as the latest local reports are pumping the brakes.
En unos mins en @superdeporte_es la información sobre @mbatshuayi El VCF quiere al jugador pero ahora mismo no hay negociación con el @ChelseaFC y hay que esperar a que cierren su plantilla. Hay una fecha para empezar la ofensiva.

Superdeporte in Valencia claim that the team still want to sign Batshuayi but at the moment there are no negotiations happening with Chelsea. Since Spain can sign players through the end of the month and Chelsea are quite busy on other fronts, this could be purely a logistical hang-up. The full report claims that Valencia are willing to wait.
But maybe Michy will get to stick around? There’s a sense that he could be fantastic in Sarri’s system and we’d like to see that tried at least once before a decision is made...
Anyway. No final decision has been taken on Chelsea’s side. #cfc
