We had been wondering what would be next for Lucas Piazon, and whether Tiemoue Bakayoko’s loan, which freed up a non-homegrown spot in the 25-man squad could mean that the 24-year-old forward would be part of the team for the first time since the first half of the 2012-13 season, but it looks like he will be taking the more obvious path and head out on loan once again instead. His next move is looking likely to be another loan, this time to France.
According to French newspaper L’Equipe, Ligue 1 club Reims are interested.

Reims’ main target had been Egyptian attacking midfielder Amr Warda, who plays for Greek side PAOK. However, he might be too expensive, which has forced them to look elsewhere. Piazon made a few appearances for Chelsea during during preseason and has remained training with the first-team, but has not made a matchday squad yet.
Piazon has not given up on his dream of playing for Chelsea. but sitting idle will not help his cause. With only one year left on his contract, he needs regular playing time to make his claim, be it for Chelsea or someone else. Reims have until August 31 to negotiate a potential move.
