Chelsea prospect Charly Musonda Jr. has yet to find out where he will play next season. It likely will not be at Stamford Bridge.
According to Belgian journalist Kristof Terreur, Musonda will be leaving the Blues in the next three weeks — something made clear by his name not being registered in any of our Premier League’s lists (although these lists will only be finalized at the end of the month).
Because the transfer window closed last week, he can no longer join another Premier League side, but the transfer window remains open for the top European leagues and for loans only to the Football League (Championship, League One and League Two).

The persistent theme is that Musonda is considering more than just a loan move, looking to leave the club in a permanent transfer. But he still has four years left on his contract, and Chelsea still see a future for him.
Charly Musonda is considering a permanent move, but as he only extended his contract until 2022 in December, Chelsea want to loan him out again. Finding the right team will be key. Also for his career. #cfc

It does feel like that Musonda’s next move will be a “make it or break it” situation. He has had more leeway than other prospects in the club after his loan failures and social media shenanigans, and that may only be because of his natural talent. But talent alone is never enough, and Charly’s going to have to start living up to his promise on the pitch as well.
