Midfield master Thiago Alcântara has not been too happy with life at Bayern Munich, reportedly. Potentially offering him a change of scenery are clubs such as Chelsea and Manchester United, and probably any other team that knows what’s good for them.
However — and this shouldn’t be a surprise by any stretch of the imagination — Bayern do not intend to let Thiago go; certainly not for cheap. According to Globo Esporte, the German champions have slapped a rather exorbitant price tag on him. While they do not say what that actually amounts to, we can safely assume it’s more than the €70m reported earlier. Chances are it’s €Not-For-Sale-million.
That notion was reinforced by Bayern CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge. Thiago leaving Bayern is an idea that never even crossed their minds.
“He is an important player for us. We have never even thought about him leaving the club. There is nothing at all in this story”
