Apparent Chelsea transfer target Daniele Rugani’s agent, Davide Torchia, went on Tuscany’s RadioSportiva radio earlier today and said a few things. Chelsea were mentioned. And not in a positive light.
“Chelsea? Yes they do have interest in Daniele Rugani, let’s see. Other than the numbers, there are also some technical questions. Rugani has never said that he wanted to leave and Juve never said they wanted to sell him.”

That’s some freezing cold water right there splashing in our faces.
So here we are, after weeks of allegedly bargaining for Rugani, raising our offer at least twice ... and neither the player nor the club want to make a deal? Whatever happened to all the hot hot hot hot rumors out of Italy that Sarri wanted the player onboard in time for the Perth trip last weekend?
Another summer, another Koulibaly. Or just Italy being Italy when it comes to the rumor mill.
Speaking of which, another fanciful story has Milan (with Leonardo freshly inked as sporting director) gunning for Alvaro Morata again. Per that same Di Marzio report, Leonardo, barely a few hours into his new job, is apparently also talking player swap with Juventus, sending ancient Leonardo Bonucci back to Turin and getting youthful central defender Mattia Caldara in exchange. Caldara was briefly linked with Chelsea the other day, though if he goes to Milan, then for sure Chelsea aren’t getting him ... or Rugani for that matter.
And since no good rumor should ever be allowed to die, one week after Marina Granavskaia was supposedly in Italy to lead negotiations with Juventus (about a player they don’t want to sell as it turns out) ... she’s baaaack!

Here’s to two more weeks of rumor nonsense then...
Meanwhile, I’m going out to buy a rain jacket. This business of having cold water thrown on me every transfer season gets old after a while.
