Eden Hazard ‘preparing’ to go to Real Madrid, claims Brian Laudrup

Well that’s a random source in a random source!

Danish international Brian Laudrup, who had a cup of coffee with Chelsea back in 1998 has sensationally claimed that Eden Hazard is “preparing” to go to Real Madrid. Laudrup is currently a pundit, but revealed this information to Croatian newspaper Sportske Novosti, to whom he was talking for some reason ahead of their huge game against France in the World Cup final tomorrow.

It’s unclear why the Hazard topic even comes up — it seems to be just an aside at the very talking about implications of Cristiano Ronaldo’s transfer to Juventus — but Laudrup seems quite certain.

“I spoke to Eden Hazard a few days ago, he is preparing for a move to Real Madrid and it is a good move both for him and for Real. Again in Russia, he proved how good he is.”

The original article is not yet online, only in print, but there is picture proof of it, so that part is real.

Whether Laudrup actually knows something or is just speculating on something that Hazard may or may not have insinuated to him, or something simply got lost in translation, is a different question. While Eden has never flat out denied the possibility of going to Real Madrid, he’s always said he’s happy at Chelsea. Meanwhile, no one has made an offer for him anyway, so it’s all a bit of a moot discussion, regardless of what a random pundit may have claimed.
