Conte oversees third day of preseason training at Chelsea, and his last?

The hard work continues on the training ground even as the Sarri/Jorginho rumors go into overdrive

Hope y’all had a wonderful All Sarri’s Eve last night. Today is the day!

Today is the day, they will tell you. They have been wrong before, often, and but today is definitely the day. Unless it isn’t. But today is the day!

Today is the day Antonio Conte will finally get to start enjoying his paid, one-year sabbatical.

Today is the day we’re free of “sufferball” and will be bathed in the light of “Sarriball”. Hopefully it doesn’t (d)evolve into “Pulisball” by the second half of the season.

Today might also be the day that Jorginho arrives. That’s almost looking more certain than Sarri, which is yet another symptom of just how silly this whole Sarri saga has been.

But today is the day!

Yesterday was the day, too, but yesterday was just the day that Conte completed his third day of pre-season training in this third pre-season with Chelsea. That makes him the longest-serving coach not named José Mourinho in the Abramovich era, and I think that bears repeating.

In any case, here are a few photos from the hard work going on at Cobham in Wednesday’s training. Somebody tell Morata that it’s the middle of July and he can lose the long sleeves!
