At the end of last season, Chelsea youngster Jeremie Boga told French media that he was no longer keen on the loan routine, and would look to move clubs if he did not get a shot at the Blues’ first-team.
But in the cold light of the summer days, Boga has apparently had a change of heart, as he’s reportedly all set to join Sassuolo on loan for the season.

While Di Marzio’s report is not clear on the terms of the move, in an earlier report, he claimed that Boga would be moving on loan. That still leaves room for the classic loan-to-buy that seems common in the Serie A, but for now, the move is likely to be just a temporary one. Italian journalist said he would be moving on loan to Sassuolo, although the deal could very well be one of those “loan with option to buy” arrangements that are so common in Italy.
While the move remains unconfirmed, the hope that Boga gets a few minutes to impress in pre-season remains alive, but that seems rather unlikely at this point.
