AS Roma have joined the chase for Nice midfielder Jean Michäel Seri, as per a report from Corriere dello Sport (via Inside Futbol).
Like many other clubs, Roma have already made a few moves this summer. They added 21-year-old attacking midfielder and Football Manager star prospect Ante Coric from Dinamo Moscow for €6 million (complete with appropriate announcement) as well as 30-year-old defender Iván Marcano who joined the club from Porto on a free transfer. They have also been linked with Ajax winger Justin Kluivert.

Paying Seri’s release clause, which is rumoured to be at €35 million, would not be a great fit for Roma's usual m.o., but he could be a worthwhile risk even if his potential resale value wouldn't be very high.
For Chelsea however (many of his other suitors), the fee makes plenty of sense. Seri would instantly upgrade our midfield options, no matter who gets to be the coach at the Bridge next season.
But that would require some real action from the club first.
