Sarri deal to be done Tuesday ... no wait Thursday ... or Friday!

This is all getting just a bit too ridiculous.

Pick a day, any day, and that’s the day the deal will be done. Or not.

You can make it a hot day, a crucial day, an imminent day, a key day. Or just another day that passes by without anything actually happening.

Is it going to be a Blue Monday when the new order starts? Is it going to happen Tuesday Morning or perhaps Tuesday Afternoon? Or will Tuesday be Gone and we’ll be listening to Wednesday’s Song? That’s why they’re called business socks, after all. Or will none of that matter (and we know that Thursday is the worst day), so it’s Friday that we’ll be in love (with the next ex-head coach)?

(That last song linked is one of the greatest ever recorded. Yes, I have the shirt. Don’t @ me.)

Over the weekend, reports from Italy emerged that Chelsea and Napoli will get a deal done at €5m, while Sarri himself will sign (has signed?) a contract for two years at €5m per, with a club option for a third. Some claim this will happen Tuesday (today). Imminent! Pedulla’s latest says Thursday or Friday at the earliest. Gianfranco Zola also factors in somewhere, but he’s not due in London until Wednesday. The above has been reported several times by several “exclusives” all saying the same things since the weekend. Presumably they will continue to be reported until something actually happens.

Stay tuned. Or do something more productive. It’ll make you fitter, happier.
