Antonio Conte’s reign at Chelsea might be coming to an end, whether or not the team succeed in reaching their remaining targets for the season. But this is the life at Chelsea, where even a modicum of failure can have you kicked out unceremoniously (right, Uncle Carlo?).
High-profile names who could fill Conte’s shoes have been thrown around aplenty already, with likes of Luis Enrique and Thomas Tuchel seemingly in the lead as far as the rumor mill is concerned. The former seemed to be the favorite not too long ago, but that dubious honor now belongs to the latter. Tuchel, who last coached at Borussia Dortmund, has been linked with Chelsea, PSG, and Arsenal but has left everyone baffled by supposedly already rejecting Bayern Munich.
That decision however may not have been Tuchel being just a rebellious soul, as is his reputation. It would appear that he has already signed with another club, as confirmed by Bayern Munich CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.
“In his function as director of sports, Hasan Salihamidzic was involved in many talks, among others also with Thomas Tuchel. Thomas Tuchel announced that he signed with another club. That is ok.”

This “another club” could very well be Chelsea of course.
Or it could be not Chelsea.
Barring any unlikely developments or announcements, that guessing game will continue through the end of the season and possibly well into the summer as well.
