Forever linked with AC Milan, Cesc Fàbregas has been forever denying any such rumors and moves. And sure enough, he’s now denying the latest rumors as well, which had claimed that negotiations were imminent for a January move.
Cesc may be out of contract at the end of the season, but he’s not going anywhere until then.
“I haven’t talked to anyone, but it’s obvious that if I haven’t signed a renewal then I can do a deal with someone from January and will probably attract a lot of clubs.
“Will I stay until the end of the season? For now I can say yes.”
Of course, that doesn’t rule out talking with and arranging moves to potential new employers before then, as he’s allowed to do so with teams outside of England starting in January. But Fàbregas has hinted at wanting to stay at Chelsea before — he seems to be well-settled in London, after all — and as he proved against PAOK last night, there’s plenty of magic left in those pass-happy feet of his in the right circumstances.
“We have a good squad with a lot of valuable players. I’m at Stamford Bridge and I’m happy, but it’s clear that every player wants to play more.”

Cesc does want to play more often than he is currently — like all good players — so he might have a big decision to make depending on whether Chelsea are willing to extend him for another season. For now, he seems a perfect backup for Jorginho, bringing most of the same qualities as well as all of the same weaknesses to the table in Sarri-ball’s regista role.
