When Eden Hazard was announced as the special guest on the Canal Football Club program on Canal+ for Sunday, you already knew that some new quotes regarding his Chelsea future and possible transfer to Real Madrid would surface.

And sure enough, after talk of France’s World Cup success, Hazard’s continuing love for Lille OSC (which remains the only club in Ligue 1 he’d ever join — so sorry, PSG), and working with Thierry Henry for a couple years at the Belgium national team, Hazard got the Real Madrid question from the program’s hosts.

True to form, Hazard answered as he’s always answered: we’ll see.

“It is true [Real Madrid is my “dream club”]. At the moment I’m concentrating on Chelsea, If I don’t extend, it is possible. I’m not leaving in January. Next summer it is possible, but it is also possible that I spend the rest of my career at Chelsea.”
