The international break is slowly drawing to a close, which means that we’ll once again have to concentrate on the actual football rather than the (often more interesting, more dramatic, and certainly more click-hungry) sideshow that is the transfer rumor mill, and that will also be true for a certain 20-year-old, who’s been the star of the sideshow as far as Chelsea are concerned, ever since claims emerged that Chelsea have “won the battle” for his signature.
Neither Borussia Dortmund nor Pulisic himself are denying that his future probably lies somewhere other than the place he’s called home since February 2015, but BVB remain adamant that he’s not going anywhere until the summer and Pulisic himself had previously responded with the standard “I’m just concentrating on my football” cliche when any Premier League team was mentioned.
But talking to NBC Sports after the USA slumped to yet another defeat on the international stage (5 in their last 8, with just one win), Pulisic, who was named the youngest captain in USMNT history last night, revealed that he will use the Bundesliga’s winter break productively and decide on what the next step in his young career will be.
“I’m still focused on Dortmund. We are doing great this season. Once the break comes [in January], that is always when I will have to discuss with Dortmund and see about my future.”

And so we wait.
