Take a quick look around.
Remember your surroundings and what you were doing.
Years from now, you might reminisce about what the exact circumstances were when you first heard that Chelsea “look to have won the battle” to sign Christian Pulisic from Borussia Dortmund.
That’s the line from the Daily Mail, and it’s not just your every day Daily Mail report, but an EXCLUSIVE from chief football scribe Martin Samuel himself. This doesn’t happen very often. He’s not one to engage in idle rumor mongering, usually.
EXCLUSIVE: Christian Pulisic set for Chelsea move as Borussia Dortmund seek to cash in on £70m-rated starlet after talks over a new contract stall https://t.co/fLIMqlIh1z— MailOnline Sport (@MailSport) November 16, 2018
It was just earlier this week that Pulisic stirred up transfer rumors once again after re-confirming that he sees himself playing in the Premier League one day. Heavily linked in the summer already — Chelsea, Liverpool, and Spurs — he looks no closer to signing a contract extension at BVB, where his contract is up after next season (2020). Some reports over the summer already claimed that BVB have resigned themselves to selling; the new transfer fee is the region of 70m, which in this market, for a player of his talent, and age (just 20), is practically a bargain.
Long-time readers of the blog, and perhaps some more recent arrivals, too, know just how much we rate the young American international and if Chelsea can pull off this transfer, it would be amazing, to say the least.
Please be true...
