Genoa striker Krzysztof Piątek is deservedly enjoying the football world's attention thanks to his great form in Italy, firing on all cylinders and scoring 13 goals in 8 appearances in all competitions. He, who was only a few months ago merely a competent goalscorer in the Polish Ekstraklasa, is now named as a top target for several of the world’s biggest clubs, including Chelsea.
However, we are still a few months away from the next transfer window, and teams may not be too keen on pulling the trigger so quickly on a player that had spent his career under the radar. But that won't stop them from tracking, monitoring, probing the prospect of signing Piątek.
And that is exactly what they have done, according to his agent, Szymon Pacanowski.
“Many clubs have contacted us over the last few weeks, but I won’t name them. However, there has been no formal offer from any club, including Napoli.
“His value has certainly risen over the three months in Serie A, but right now we are happy to remain at Genoa.”

Reports in Italy claim it will take at least €50 million to convince Genoa to let go of Piątek at the moment. But if he keeps up this form, the demands will only grow.
