BOOM.
That was certainly quick, if Gianluca Di Marzio is to be believed. And he is often right and believable (and least in the world of transfer rumors), although his hit-rate tends to be slightly worse with non-Italy based rumors, understandably.
In any case, he’s been on the forefront of the reporting around Chelsea’s pursuit of Edin Dzeko. That has now definitely broken down and fallen apart, which means that Chelsea have had to turn to alternative solutions, especially as Batshuayi’s interest had been piqued by Borussia Dortmund. With BVB ready to sell Aubameyang to Arsenal, it was only natural to connect the dots and speculate that a transfer-triangle between the three clubs might be accomplished.

As sensational as that might be, it may yet happen, with Di Marzio claiming that Chelsea and Arsenal have agreed a £15m transfer (plus bonuses) for Olivier Giroud. The transfer is contingent on Arsenal agreeing terms with and for Aubameyang and Borussia Dortmund finding a replacement for Auba, which could very well be Batshuayi.
Some are slightly more skeptical, but there’s definitely something going on.
No agreement between Chelsea and Arsenal as yet for Giroud but talks ongoing - latest to come on @TeleFootball

There are no details on what Chelsea might offer the 31-year-old Giroud, whose contract at Arsenal expires in 18 months (which Chelsea could easily match and not break out own over-30 contract policy).
The triangle transfer isn’t a done as yet:
