Given his prodigious levels of talent, young Charly Musonda Jr is never far from thought or discussions when it comes to Chelsea and especially the future of Chelsea, but for the next 18 months, he will be concentrating mostly on the fortunes of Celtic Football Club in the Scottish Premier League (and hopefully Champions League as well).
The 21-year-old’s loan move to the Scottish champions was confirmed today, after being rumored all weekend. Musonda had been previously linked with temporary moves to Spain and the Premier League as well.

As promising as Musonda may be, the harsh reality is that due in large part to injuries, he’s seen very limited involvement over the past 18 months, at either Real Betis, where his loan was cut short last winter, or back at Chelsea, where he had been restricted to minor cup appearances and other cameos of not much consequence.
While it would be great to see him stick around the first-team, he’s in desperate need of minutes. Hopefully he will get them from former Chelsea youth coach Brendan Rodgers.
Good luck, Charly Jr!
