Negotiations were expected to be put on hold today between Chelsea and Roma, with both teams in action on the pitch shortly, but if Sky Italia are to be believed, the two sides have struck an agreement for the transfer of the 31-year-old striker.

Previous rumors had claimed that the Giallorossi were looking for around €50m and a €5-10m bonus for both Dzeko and left back Emerson, who’s expected to complete his transfer tomorrow. The Guardian’s reporting a deal worth £44m (€50m) + £13m (€15m) in add-ons for the pair, which is basically the same thing with a bit of extra bonus.
Dzeko’s transfer, despite the agreement over fees is not quite that far along as Chelsea continue to negotiate personal terms, including wages and length of contrat. As we’ve discussed over the last few days, Dzeko’s age (31) theoretically makes him ineligible for a multi-year contract as per club policy, but Chelsea appear ready to break their own rule in this regard as offering Dzeko that short of a deal would not make much sense for either club (especially in regards to financial impact) or the player himself who’s currently signed-on with Roma through 2020.
There will be more talks between Chelsea, Roma and Dzeko but it’s still not certain he will join. His age means it is a complicated deal for Chelsea to negotiate #cfc

So, Dzeko’s transfer is still not certain, but it’s looking more likely now than even 12-24 hours ago.
Stay tuned.
