The Diego Costa saga continues to percolate along in the background — fortunately Chelsea are winning and playing well, in general, so we don’t have to pay too much mind to Diego’s latest shenanigans — and according to reports yesterday out of Spain, he has now moved base from Brazil to Madrid (alongside his family and entourage), where he will continue to train on his own until his situation is resolved.
Diego Costa is now in Madrid, says ITK @Manu_Sainz - who adds detail that he's watching Atletico not Chelsea on TV https://t.co/T7OBsEwi37

Despite recent talk of a deal getting done this week — €60m transfer to close perhaps as early as Tuesday, even, claimed Marca boldly at the start of the week — Atléti seem once again in no hurry to get things done, with their CEO yesterday telling reporters that they won’t be doing anything until January.
That lead to some stray rumors of yet another third party potentially getting involved — the Mail brought up Al-Hilal in the Saudi league as a possibility — but AS seem pretty confident that Costa will simply stay put in Madrid until the winter transfer window while the two teams go to battle over his fee, his fines, and his future.
Fun!
