Our dear friends at Tottenham Hotspur have decided to make life difficult for Chelsea on transfer deadline day. Following the reports of their newfound interest in Chelsea target Fernando Llorente, they’ve not only had a bid accepted for the striker...

Prior to this, all indications were that Chelsea were very close to signing Llorente and once Swansea signed a replacement, the deal would go through. That replacement was meant to be Wilfried Bony, who’s now in talks with Hellas Verona over a season-long loan deal. And as it turns out, Chelsea never actually got a bid accepted, which seems to be continuing a trend of failed or non-existent bids for several other transfer targets this summer.
Meanwhile, the future of Michy Batshuayi, which seems to hinging on the Llorente deal, needs to be sorted as well.

Eden Hazard revealed in a national team press conference yesterday, that “as a friend,” he’d suggested going on loan to Batshuayi. Batshuayi is reportedly of interest to a few clubs including Sevilla and Everton.
The clock is ticking!
