In the midst of all the final hours action on transfer deadline day, 21-year-old prospect Nathan slinked off on a season-long loan deal to Amiens SC — which also comes with a buy-option for the French side. Nathan will be the second loanee at the club with Chelsea connections after former star-in-the-making Gaël Kakuta joined on loan earlier from Hebei Fortune in China.

Arriving at Chelsea from Brazilian club Atlético Paranaense on the first day of the 2015 summer transfer window, Nathan has spent all his time since at Vitesse Arnhem, following up an unimpressive first season with a much better second, collecting 5 goals and 3 assists in 1,774 minutes of play. He steadily improved through the year, giving hope of a better future.
Given his age and previous promise, Nathan can very well prove himself worthy of a better fate than joining Amiens in a permanent deal at the end of the season.
Best of luck, youngin!
