Following the overnight report from the Telegraph that Alex Oxlade-Chamblerlain is set to reject Arsenal’s latest offer, even though it would more than double his wages and make him one of the highest paid players on the team, here’s now Sky Sports to tell us that he did in fact do just that following a showdown meeting with Arsene Wenger.
Arsenal to tell Oxlade-Chamberlain in next 24 hours if he can leave. Wants to go. Turned down £180k a week deal. Chelsea, Liverpool want him

The Liverpool interest is not something we’ve heard of (or seen) too much, but perhaps we just turned a blind eye to it, which I shall continue to do so.
So, after Wenger called on Oxlade-Chamberlain to show loyalty for all the time and money Arsenal invested in him — Arsenal pretending to not be one of the biggest and richest clubs in the world is never not hilarious — the 24-year-old has now supposedly rejected a megabucks deal from the Gunners. That doesn’t necessarily follow, so there must be something else happening behind the scenes that’s pushing the Ox to push for a move. Either way, that’s good news for Chelsea, who desperately need a few bodies.
The previously rumored price tag for Oxlade-Chamberlain was in the region of £30-35m, which certainly is a healthy sum for a player entering the final year of his contract, but it’s really tough to gauge true value in this market so whatever. Pay it and get it done.
