Wow. Big. Surprising.
Those are Matt Law’s words and, if true, they indeed are.
Wow, big + surprising news that United have agreed a fee for Lukaku. Interesting now if Chelsea try to fight for him or turn back to Morata

#MUFC have agreed a £75m fee with Everton for Lukaku. Hopeful deal will be conclude so he can fly on tour on Sun. Morata interest ended

Given all that has transpired, with United dropping out of the race for Big Rom a month ago but Chelsea unable to get Everton to drop their price, this is not a good look for the Chelsea front office. We won’t really know all the details at this point, nor is this deal guaranteed to go through — Lukaku, after all, did seem to prefer Chelsea over United when he talked about this earlier, and he has to agree terms with Mourinho’s new club as well, so there’s plenty of room for Chelsea to fight this, should we so choose.
If Conte really really wants Lukaku -- and if £75m or thereabouts is the price -- I don't see what should stop Chelsea matching #MUFC bid

Or, as Matt Law says, we could switch targets ourselves. Conte was supposedly preferring Morata to begin with, no?
