Yet another Academy product will be heading out of Cobham to earn his first experience as a professional player. The seventh loanee of Chelsea's 2017 summer transfer window is Josimar Quintero, who will be heading to Russian Premier League club FC Rostov on a season-long loan deal.

The 20-year-old Ecuadorian central midfielder officially joined Chelsea in July 2014 after spending the earlier years of his career in the youth ranks of Barcelona. He was part of Chelsea's U19 squad that won the 2015-16 UEFA Youth League, as well as being one of the older members of the Development Squad last season.
His new club FC Rostov finished 6th in Russia's top division last season, missing a 4th place finish and a spot to the Europa League by just one point. Still, they are far away from the country's elite in CSKA Moscow, Spartak Moscow and Zenit St. Petersburg.
Strangely enough, the official website still lists Quintero as having a contract ending last month, with no updates on a deal extending his link with Chelsea offered by the club or the player on his social media profiles. But as @chelseayouth pointed out, he is among a batch of players set to have new contracts announced in the coming days.
Hasn't been announced, there's a batch of them to be confirmed this or next week and should be in that. Odd not to mention here tho agreed.

Best of luck, Quintero! Hope it works out better than the last time we sent a player to Russia!
