Just in case something goes wrong for striker Michy Batshuayi after his strong pre-season performances on the pitch for Chelsea and in training sessions with Conte, his former team in France remain ready to be a fallback option. According to L’Equipe (via Sport Witness), the Belgian striker remains on Olympique Marseille’s transfer radar.

Marseille were also one of the many clubs interested in Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma this summer, but the centre back opted to stay in the Premier League and learn the ways of defending at Stoke City. As Álvaro Morata is set to be the Blues’ main striker for next season, OM are now hoping that Michy’s aspirations of being a regular starter can give them the chance of signing him.

However, Marseille have yet to make a concrete approach and Conte seems happy enough to retain Michy for next season, so chances are this just another silly rumor on another silly day in Silly Season.
