In case you were harboring any last desperate hopes of Chelsea somehow pulling off a club-record Alex Sandro transfer, here’s Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri to get you to stop pining after someone who’s just not that into us.
Allegri confirms: "#AlexSandro is a Juve player, he is extraordinary and he won't be leaving Juventus" [MediaSet] pic.twitter.com/wwWbyT399x

Allegri was speaking to reporters after Juventus’s final match of this summer’s tour of America, a 1-1 draw against AS Roma, who finished second behind the Old Lady in last season’s Serie A. It was Juve’s seventh (7th!!!) league title on the bounce, but Allegri knows the job will be even harder next season and thus needs his best players.
“Alex Sandro? He’s a Juventus player, he’s extraordinary and he won’t leave us. He’s improved so much since he came to Juve and he has the margins to improve again. Along with Marcelo, he’s one the best in the world.”

No argument there. Alex Sandro is indeed extraordinary. Sadly, he’s going to be extraordinary for a club other than Chelsea.
While this situation has dragged on for a while now, it was looking less and less likely that Chelsea would have a chance. Theoretically, until Alex Sandro signs his new contract, a tiny chance will remain for Chelsea to sneak in, but we should probably stop bringing him up as a potential signing (unless/until something drastic changes).
