UPDATE: Or in the next TWO HOURS.

Farewell, Nathaniel Chalobah.

Several reports have emerged today regarding Nathaniel Chalobah’s future at Chelsea and it sounds like the 22-year-old has a big decision to make.

With his contract expiring next year and his career at Chelsea so far more notable for not playing for Chelsea than actually playing for Chelsea, Chalobah has been linked fairly strongly with an exit this summer. Previous loan-club Watford appear to be the front-runners, but Swansea City and Southampton are apparently also in the picture. According to Simon Johnson of the Evening Standard, Chalobah is “determined” to leave and Watford are “confident” or wrapping up the deal.

But not so fast, youngin!

According to the Mirror, Chelsea and Conte are determined for him to do the opposite, and sign a new five-year deal instead. On the table for the 22-year-old is a wage rise to 65k per week (from 45k) as well as a promise of “more first-team action” despite the arrival of big-money signing Tiemoue Bakayoko. (With Nemanja Matic making way for the new arrival instead.)

Will Chelsea be successful in convincing the young man to stay and fulfill his Chelsea destiny? According to Sky Sports, it will all be decided within the next two weeks. Choose wisely, Nathaniel-san.
