It’s happening, as soon as Chelsea agree terms with Lyon as well. (Obligatory buy-back clause mention, too.)

"We want to bring in Bertrand Traore. There are advanced talks but many clubs are interested in him," said Aulas.

...of the selling kind...

L’Equipe seems to be our go-to source these days with Chelsea looking to conduct business with at least two Ligue 1 clubs so far this summer, but while our own negotiations over Tiemoué Bakayoko seem to be dragging on, Lyon seem to be making good progress on their talks with Bertrand Traoré. In fact, according to today’s edition, Traroé has agreed a deal “in principle” with OL. That’s one step further than the last report, which claimed that the only was being finalized.

There’s still some disagreement over the bonus structure between the two clubs apparently, but surely those are just formalities at this point. Chelsea’s attentions could be diverted elsewhere at the moment — Bakayoko, Lukaku, Conte, Courtois ... take your pick — but it sounds like the Traoré deal is getting very close indeed and is expected to be completed “in the coming days”.

Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas also confirmed his club’s intentions earlier today as well.
