While Manchester United and former Chelsea boss José Mourinho seem the most keen on taking Willian away from Stamford Bridge, they might see hefty competition for the Brazilian's signature this summer. According to Munich-based newspaper Abendzeitung (via ESPN Brasil), Bayern Munich are also interested on the 28-year-old.

The report claims that Bayern are looking for a player who could fill in for oft-injured wingers Arjen Robben and Franck Ribéry. This role is currently filled by Willian’s former Shakhtar and Brazil teammate Douglas Costa, but his situation is similar to Willian’s situation at Chelsea, and could thus be set to leave the Allianz.

As we heard in the United rumors, Chelsea aren’t exactly looking to sell Willian, but £43m of Bayern’s monies might chance our minds. We can only imagine that the price would get a tad bit higher for Manchester United and José Mourinho.

With a contract set to run out only in 2020 and performances showing that he can still be a top level asset to the team, Willian’s future looks to be Blue. He may not have been a first-team regular this season unlike his previous three years at the club, he still managed to set a new personal record by scoring 12 goals in all competitions. If he’s happy in his current role, there’s no need for either party to complicate this situation.
