Real Madrid reignite interest in Chelsea star Eden Hazard — report

Real Madrid might be on the verge of losing Isco and James Rodríguez, both of whom continue to struggle for consistent playing time under Zinedine Zidane. They would need to be replaced if those turn out to come true, and they might just turn to a rather familiar name to fill that gap.

According to Spanish radio station Cadena COPE (via AS), if James leaves the Spanish club next summer — with Chelsea as one of his potential suitors — and/or Isco does not get an extension to his contract, Madrid will make an attempt at Eden Hazard.

Zidane is a clear fan of Eden, having praised the Belgian star in the media several times in the past. Madrid's interest in Hazard also isn't anything nothing new... and is likely to last as long as Hazard remains great at Chelsea. Until then, we can only hope that just like during all the other iterations of this rumor, Hazard is going nowhere, not even to play for his childhood idol.
