According to to SportBILD — which isn’t exactly the most confidence-inspiring way to begin a post, admittedly — Arsenal have entered the chase for Schalke 04 left back Sead Kolasinac. The 23-year-old Bosnia and Herzegovina international was a confirmed Chelsea target over the winter transfer window, but Schalke rejected the Blues’ €6m bid after appearing to be open to making a deal initially.
#Kolasinac und der Poker mit #Chelsea - alles dazu in @SPORTBILD ! Oder schnappt sich #Arsenal den Spieler von #Schalke ? #s04 #cfc #afc

According to the Rumpf-shaker, Chelsea are “all in” on Kolasinac, though it’s unclear if we’re holding pocket aces or just a 2-7. Meanwhile, Arsenal are hoping to get lucky on the river and avoid another almost-signing. And let’s not forget that Kolasinac was reportedly all set to sign with Juventus last week and is supposed to be having his medical in Turin some time this week. So who knows what’s actually going on and how Juventus fit into this poker analogy. Maybe they’re the button.
The only thing that’s for sure is that Kolasinac’s contract is expiring this summer and he should be attracting plenty of interest because he’s certainly good enough to play at the top level.
