Real Madrid join chase for Chelsea target Moussa Dembélé — report

Money-spinning auctions, money-spinning auctions everywhere...

Former Fulham striker Moussa Dembélé continues to rack up goals for fun at Celtic. In February alone, he has scored seven goals in three matches, including two hat-tricks. The latest was against Inverness for the Scottish Cup, with the 20-year-old scoring his three goals in a span of just 14 minutes.

His impressive displays have had top European clubs interested in January already, and it’s looking quite likely that he won’t be staying at Celtic beyond the summer. Chelsea are supposedly one of the teams most keen on his signature, but now, according to the Daily Record, Real Madrid have entered the picture as well.

Chelsea may or may not have already made an unsuccessful attempt at Dembélé in January. Celtic are looking for no less than £40 million for their prized prospect, and if the teams mentioned above are truly interested, the Scottish champions will no doubt be able to get their asking price.

Despite the price, Dembélé would certainly be a good addition to any club looking for a (probable) long-term solution at striker. Then again, that’s what we thought we were getting with £33m-man Michy Batshuayi...
